Floods destroy homes and properties at Vutideke

Torrential rains over the week destroyed houses and displaced hundreds of people at Vutideke, A river Banks community in the Pru-East District of the Bono East region. The rains caused severe flooding of several homes and destroyed properties running into tens of thousands of Ghana cedis,  

As a result, many of the residents in the affected communities have had to relocate from the area to put up with their family members in neighbouring communities. 

Residents lamented that the situation is alarming as it had really affected their daily life. the situation is very bad. Buildings have collapsed and the people have lost their belongings, clothing, cooking utensils, furniture, even school children have had their uniforms, school bags and books swept away by the floods. Opinion leader, Mr Williams Adjormani said, This is not the first time we have experienced this flooding. It occurs every rainy season, but this year’s is just too much, they have reported it to the Assembly Man and the district Assembly for help. S.O.T OPINION LEADER MR WILLIAMS

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Boam, the NDC parliamentary Candidate for pru-East is appealing to NADMO, Philanthropist and Fisheries Minister Hon Hawa Koomson to their Aid. S.O.T NDC CANDIDATE BOAM
